About the Role
Orant Charities Africa is seeking qualified Locum Clinical Personnel to provide night shift clinical coverage at Kasese Health Centre. The Clinical Technician will support the delivery of essential health services during night hours, ensuring continuity of patient care when regular staff are off duty.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care including diagnosis, treatment, emergency management, and preventive health services in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines and Medical Council of Malawi standards.

Job Overview
The Clinical Technician – Locum will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical services during night shifts at Kasese Health Centre
- Receiving and attending to patients presenting during night hours
- Taking patient medical histories and conducting clinical examinations
- Diagnosing and managing common illnesses and prescribing appropriate treatment
- Managing emergency cases including maternal and neonatal emergencies
- Ensuring proper documentation of patient consultations and treatments
- Writing referral notes for patients requiring transfer to referral facilities
- Ensuring availability and proper use of clinical tools, drugs, and equipment during night duty
- Maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine
- Registered with the Medical Council of Malawi with a valid practicing license
- At least 1–2 years of clinical work experience will be an added advantage
- Ability to work independently and manage emergencies during night shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a rural health facility setting
